The Acropolis has stood for centuries, weathering time, wars, and the occasional bird invasion, so what better way to capture it than in a way that also defies time? Shot on Olympus superzoom 80g wearing some kodak ultramax 400 film, this image carries a little dust, a little grain, and a whole lot of Athens. Because something like the Acropolis and film photography, never go out of style . But what was its purpose? The Acropolis served as a religious and political center,  dedicated to Athena, the patron goddess and protectress  of Athens. According to the legend, Athena gifted the first olive tree to Athens on the Acropolis. Even today, an olive tree stands near the Erechtheion, symbolizing peace and prosperity.
